Rauf Abdulayev

Rauf Abdulayev (Born October 29, 1937, Baku) was an Azerbaijani Soviet conductor. He graduated from the Azerbaijan (1959) and Leningrad (1965) conservatories. He worked as a conductor beinning in 1965, and in 1968 became the chief conductor. He participated in the production of the ballet “Classical Symphony” with music of Prokofiev (1966), “Spartacus” (1967);,”Seven beauties” (1969 and 1978), “Leyli and Median” by Gara Garayev, “Shadows of Gobustan” by F. Karaev (1969), “Kaleidoscope” with the music of Scarlatti and F. Karaev (1971), “Path of Thunder” (1975), etc.
